Architecting
the Cloud.
A Junior Cloud Engineer with a 15-year IT production legacy. Currently transforming legacy projects into enterprise-grade AWS serverless environments.
Project Evolution
This project began in 2021 as a core HTML/CSS website for a class at Towson University. It was my foundational exploration into web architecture.
In 2025, I revisited this codebase to transform it into a live testing ground for AWS Cloud Services. I have successfully refactored the logic into a functional serverless backend.
Operational Status
The Contact Form is fully functional, integrated with API Gateway and Lambda to process user submissions in real-time. Data persistence and advanced analytics are currently in the implementation phase.
This live version is the precursor to a full UI/UX redesign scheduled for 2026, aimed at deeper service integration and automated scaling metrics.
Interactive Infrastructure Details (Flip for Tech Specs)
Route 53
DNS Routing
Configured Alias records for CloudFront distribution. Managed failover routing policies to ensure high availability for the domain.
ACM (SSL)
Security Layer
Provisioned SSL/TLS certificates via AWS Certificate Manager. Implemented DNS validation for automated renewal and HTTPS security.
CloudFront
CDN & Edge
Deployed as a CDN to cache content globally. Configured custom cache behaviors and Origin Access Control (OAC) for S3 security.
S3 Hosting
Static Storage
Optimized bucket for static hosting. Disabled public access and utilized OAC to restrict traffic exclusively to CloudFront origins.
API Gateway
REST API Entry
Built RESTful endpoints with Lambda Proxy Integration. Managed CORS policies and request validation for the contact form.
Lambda
Serverless Logic
Developed event-driven Python functions to process form data. Implemented logging via CloudWatch for troubleshooting and audits.
